Opert, located on the border of Semnan and Mazandaran, is a region 55 kilometers from the city of Mehdishahr. This area showcases the intersection of forest and mountain nature. From Mashhad, go to Neyshabur ➡️ Sabzevar and then to Ebrahimabad and Meymeh ➡️ Take the Sabzevar-Shahroud highway ➡️ After passing through Shahroud, enter the Imam Reza highway and continue until the 70th Asia highway ➡️ Head towards the Kiasar and Shahmirzad road. Neor Lake is one of the largest freshwater lakes and a popular summer destination in the country, located 48 kilometers from Ardabil. It is formed by two rivers that merge in the spring season. Neor is situated on the border of the Ardabil and Gilan provinces and is known as Neor Lake of Ardabil. The lake’s water is supplied by rainfall and snowmelt in the fall and winter seasons. In the spring and summer, the surrounding plains have a beautiful and scenic landscape with wild plants. You can enjoy various activities in this area such as hiking, photography, cycling, fishing, mountain climbing, collecting medicinal herbs, and horseback riding. The best time to visit Neor is from mid-spring to late summer as the weather is pleasant during these seasons.
