Flysepehran has officially expanded its international route network by launching direct flights between Tabriz and Istanbul for the first time. The introduction of this new service marks another milestone in the airline’s international network expansion while providing travelers in northwestern Iran with a convenient new travel option.
The Tabriz–Istanbul flight is expected to play a significant role in strengthening commercial, cultural, and tourism connectivity between Iran and Türkiye. As one of Iran’s major economic and cultural hubs, Tabriz serves as an important gateway for the country’s northwest, while Istanbul remains one of the region’s leading tourism and international transit destinations. The new nonstop service enables passengers from East Azerbaijan Province and neighboring regions to travel directly to Istanbul without the need for connecting flights.
The launch of this route is also expected to support bilateral tourism growth. It offers Iranian travelers easier access to one of the world’s most popular travel destinations while creating additional opportunities for inbound visitors to explore Tabriz and northwestern Iran. Furthermore, the new air link contributes to stronger economic, cultural, and tourism cooperation between the two countries. Travelers from other Iranian cities can also benefit from Flysepehran’s expanding international network, including direct Mashhad–Istanbul flights and the resumption of Tehran–Istanbul services.
Operating this international service with Flysepehran’s domestic fleet further demonstrates the growing operational capability of Iranian carriers. The route is expected to optimize travel costs, reduce reliance on foreign airline capacity, and provide passengers with greater flexibility when planning international travel. This expansion complements the airline’s other regional connections, such as its direct Tabriz–Najaf flight, further strengthening international air connectivity from northwestern Iran.
