Resumption of Mashhad – Baghdad – Mashhad Flights

Sepehran Airlines has announced the resumption of flights on the Mashhad–Baghdad–Mashhad route following a short operational interruption. This move has been made in response to passenger demand and to ensure the continuity of air services on this important international corridor.

The Mashhad–Baghdad air route has long been considered one of the notable international connections within the network of Shahid Hasheminejad International Airport in Mashhad. The religious and cultural significance of both cities has contributed to sustained demand for travel between northeastern Iran and the Iraqi capital. The resumption of this service also complements Sepehran Airlines’ broader presence on routes connecting Iranian cities with destinations in Iraq.

Resumption of Direct Flights Between Mashhad and Baghdad

With the return of the Mashhad–Baghdad–Mashhad service, passengers once again have access to a direct air connection between the two cities. Sepehran Airlines has prioritized the regular operation of these flights within its mid-term planning, taking into account the importance of scheduling consistency and the continued development of services on international routes.

Baghdad has already played an important role in Sepehran’s regional flight network. In previous operations, the airline also announced an increase in Baghdad flights, reflecting the level of demand for air travel between Iran and Iraq.

Sepehran has also expanded its connections to Iraq through other cities. The launch of the direct Rasht–Baghdad–Rasht route created another link between Iran and the Iraqi capital, while services to religious destinations have continued to form an important part of the airline’s international operations.

Sepehran’s Flight Network Between Iran and Iraq

The resumption of the Mashhad–Baghdad route is part of a broader network serving passengers traveling between Iran and Iraq. In addition to Baghdad, Najaf remains another key destination within this network. Sepehran has previously announced the resumption of scheduled flights to Najaf, helping maintain direct access between Mashhad and one of Iraq’s most important religious destinations.

The airline has also developed new routes such as the direct Tabriz–Najaf flight, further strengthening connectivity between Iranian cities and destinations in Iraq.

According to the announced schedule, Mashhad–Baghdad–Mashhad flights will be operated using Sepehran Airlines’ active fleet. Passengers can obtain detailed information regarding exact flight days and departure times through the airline’s official website. Tickets can also be purchased through authorized sales channels and travel agencies.
